US Patent #6,566,560 is a continuation-in-part patent which covers claims for a series of novel alkyl resorcinols which are useful in the treatment of neoplastic diseases including blood dyscrasias.  No further development has taken place to establish their medical value.  Research would have to focus on the further synthesis of a wide variety of congeners described in the original patent and this CIP.  Any new compound, which shows significant improvement over the initial compounds, will be subjected to the rigors of ADME/TOX.  Also, additional sponsored research could further explore the action mechanisms of these compounds.
